October 2006 - Shifting Directions: The Changing World of Work

The Shifting Directions conference is being held in Vernon from October 1-3, 2006. Training Innovations has been selected to participate in the "Best of the Best" presentations on October 1st. The Best of the Best represents employment projects and human resource strategies that have been recognized for their innovation and achievements in addressing the challenges of today's labour market. Tannis Goddard will be showcasing the success of the Career e-Volutions project and sharing her perspectives on the potential that online technology offers to career practitioners and HR professionals.

March 2006 - BC’s Annual Career Development Conference

Training Innovations attended the Career Development Conference in Vancouver from March 1-3.  The theme of the conference was “Building a Career Development Highway”.  Tannis Goddard participated in a panel discussion with other industry leaders on innovation in the field of career management.

January 2006 - Training Innovations Presents at NATCON 2006

Tannis Goddard was invited to present at the National Consultation on Career Development Conference (NATCON) in Ottawa from January 22-25.  Tannis prepared a session titled “Online Career Counselling: Myths, Realities and Trends” and shared insights on the challenges and opportunities of delivering career counselling online.

November 2005 - Training Innovations Nominated for Burnaby Business Excellence Awards

Training Innovations, a long time member of the Burnaby Board of Trade, is honored to be recognized as a nominee for the Burnaby Business Awards in the category of Business Innovation.  Training Innovations was recognized for its innovative employment services, particularly in developing Canada’s first fully-facilitated online career program, Career e-Volutions.

November 2005 - Chinese Delegation Taps Training Innovations for Employment Programming Insights

Training Innovations was invited to share its expertise and best practices with a group of policy-makers and administrators from China who are studying Canadian models of employment services.  This national tour was coordinated by Service Canada and the information shared will support initiatives such as the Gansu Women’s Employment Project in China.
