Training Innovations is pleased to present Encore - an initiative designed to help older workers develop in-demand skills and put their experience to work in the Sea to Sky Corridor. Sponsored by Service Canada and the Province of B.C., Encore offers six-weeks of skills training, individual employment counselling, online workshops, and behind-the-scenes company tours to eligible participants. The program also offers services to help employers recruit and retain older workers.
The first session starts January 26, 2009 and Training Innovations is actively recruiting unemployed participants ages of 50+ as well as "age friendly" employers that are interested in becoming workplace mentors for participants.

Training Innovations is pleased to announce that we will be expanding our services in the Sea to Sky Corridor by opening a small office in Whistler. Over the past year we have been experiencing increased demand for employment services in the Corridor. We have recently come to agreement with Service Canada to expand our existing Howe Sound ERC contract and are planning to open a new office in the fall. We will continue offering outreach services on a weekly basis in Whistler until the center is open. Training Innovations has operated the Howe Sound Employment Centre in Squamish since 2001 and are excited to be able to offer improved access to individuals living in Whistler, Pemberton, Mount Currie and D'Arcy.
