Become a Host Mentor
We are seeking Host Mentors that can offer our participants an insider's view of their workplace. As a Host Mentor you will host a different program participant at your worksite one day per week for a period of eight weeks. During their visit to your worksite, the individual will complete pre-assigned research tasks and activities. Your role is simply to provide a welcoming environment where they can observe and apply their learning in a "live" workplace.

As a Host Mentor, this gives you opportunity to showcase your business, interact with potential candidates, and promote your job opportunities to Encore participants. We will be responsible for coordinating the visit with you and will ensure that participants are respectful of your workplace.

As a Host Mentor you will receive:

• Acknowledgement in our program marketing, allowing you to be seen as an engaged employer of choice in the community
• Priority registration in our complimentary HR workshop
• A free copy of our Employer Took Kit
• Opportunity to register with the Encore Online Job Board - an online job posting and matching tool developed for this project
• Unlimited access to post jobs on the online job board (at no cost to you)
• Opportunity to win two hours of HR consulting from a Training Innovations' Consultant - tailored to your business needs around developing and leading a multi-generational workforce

Complimentary HR Workshop
A significant goal of the Encore project is to help local employers learn how to effectively recruit and retain older workers. To support this, we are offering a complimentary evening workshop for registered employers called "Tapping into an Active Workforce".

In the workshop we focus on emerging HR approaches for attracting, building and retaining a multi-generational work force, with specific strategies and approaches that effectively support older workers.

As a workshop participant you receive:

The Encore Online Job Board promotes connections between program participants and local employers. Registered employers will be able to post employment opportunities and search a database of available candidates online (at no cost to you). All employers that post a job on the Online Job Board will receive a complimentary copy of our Employer Took Kit.
